Aramis Ayala for Attorney General

Aramis Ayala is an experienced attorney and civil rights advocate who has dedicated her life to the pursuit of justice. We are once again endorsing Ayala because of her proven leadership in advancing impactful reforms. As a former State Attorney and longtime public defender, Ayala has helped keep kids out of adult prisons, increase police accountability, support victims of domestic violence, and address hate crimes and gun violence. As our next Attorney General, Aramis Ayala will continue putting Floridians first.

Allison Miller for State Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit (Pinellas-Pasco)

State Attorneys have an enormous impact on our communities. They have the power to decide who gets charged with crimes and the severity of each prosecution. For the first time in 30 years, Pinellas and Pasco counties will elect a new State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit.

Allison Miller is a career public defender committed to fighting injustices and promoting fairness. As State Attorney, Allison Miller pledges to:

  • Keep children out of jails. Currently, Black kids are overrepresented in our criminal legal system. Despite making up just 19% of the school-aged population, Black girls made up 86% of girls incarcerated in Pinellas County.
  • Stop prosecuting marijuana possession for personal use, which has led to the mass incarceration of mostly Black and brown communities.
  • Reform the cash bail system for low level nonviolent crimes.
  • Establish a Conviction Review Unit to free innocent people who have been wrongfully convicted.

After years of fighting on the frontlines for her clients, Allison Miller has a deep understanding of the issues affecting our counties. She is committed to implementing solutions that protect our children and make our communities safer.

We’re also endorsing:

Charlie Crist for Governor

Alfred Lawson for U.S. Representative, 5th congressional district

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick for U.S. Representative, 20th congressional district

Frederica Wilson for U.S. Representative, 24th congressional district
