Statement on Brian Kemp’s Concern Over Georgians Exercising Their Right to Vote

“Mr. Kemp is the latest example of a long, proud line of white politicians who have been afraid of Black people actually exercising their right to vote. And like others before him, he’s going to learn that his intimidation, his suppression tactics, and even his abuse of his position as head of Georgia’s elections will not succeed. Black communities across the state of Georgia and beyond are energized, motivated and organized in support of Stacey Abrams. And we are already turning out in record numbers for early voting and will continue to do so through Election Day, just as Mr. Kemp fears.”
