Miami Herald Video: Black leaders discuss ways to mobilize their communities for the upcoming elections
More than one hundred black activists and organizers gathered in Miami on Sunday to discuss ways to mobilize the African-American community and get them to vote in the upcoming November election.
Hosted by Color of Change PAC, the political action committee of the nation’s largest online racial justice group, this event was part of the #VotingWhileBlack national campaign to mobilize black voters in critical local, statewide and national races this fall.
They also discussed the “importance of electing the state’s first black governor,” said Arish Hatch, director of Color of Change PAC.
She was referring to Democratic nominee Andrew Gillum, who’s been ahead of Republican nominee Ron DeSantis in every poll over the first month of the campaign.
