For Harris County district Attorney

Sean Teare has had a long career in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and has a history focused on civil rights, empathy and justice. Sean plans to focus on bail reform, working with prosecutors, elected officials, community groups, and researchers to determine how successful reform outcomes can be expanded. He is also prioritizing the prevention of unnecessary cases from entering and clogging the system by directing prosecutors to consider alternatives, including diversion programs or dismissals in cases where there is no threat to public safety.
