Karen McDonald (D) is a former circuit court judge, assistant prosecutor, and public school teacher. She’s seen firsthand the many ways our justice system has harmed Black communities and is committed to implementing real solutions to hold police accountable and make our communities safer.
As County Prosecutor, Karen McDonald will:
- Implement a system of accountability for officers accused of police brutality
- End the use of cash bail
- Invest in diversion programs and treatment courts that reduce incarceration
- Create a unit dedicated to exonerating innocent people who’ve been wrongful convicted
Vote Karen McDonald for Oakland County Prosecutor on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. You must be a registered voter to participate in this election. Register to vote today or check your registration status on the Secretary of State website.
Vote early to avoid lines and wait times at the polls. Registered voters can cast their ballot safely and securely by voting by mail as soon as possible. The state has already mailed absentee-ballot applications to all voters. Any voter can request an absentee ballot without an excuse.
