We endorse

Tiffany Cabán

for Queens District Attorney

The results of the recount in the Queens District Attorney race are in, and Tiffany Cabán’s opponent, Melinda Katz, has officially won the race. This is an extremely disappointing result for everyone, including us. Like many of you, we believed and still believe, in Tiffany Cabán’s bold vision to transform criminal justice in Queens.

The fact that so many people in Queens turned out for Tiffany Cabán is a testament to the transformation we’re seeing across this county in how people think about what justice really looks like. People are recognizing the power district attorneys have to end mass incarceration, money bail, the war on drugs, and so many other practices that target Black and brown communities. Our movement is growing, and Tiffany Cabán’s inspiring campaign was no small part of that.

Color Of Change PAC is proud to have endorsed Tiffany Cabán (D) for Queens District Attorney.

Tiffany Cabán is a career public defender committed to radically transforming the Queens criminal justice system.

While campaigning for Queens District Attorney, Cabán promised to:

  • End money bail
  • Prosecute less
  • Seek shorter sentences for felonies
  • Decriminalize the recreational use of Marijuana and other drugs
  • Treat substance use disorders as medical issues
  • Create a community advisory board
  • Demilitarize law enforcement and rebuilding community trust
