Color Of Change PAC Endorses Allison Miller for State Attorney of Florida 

Color Of Change PAC ramping up Black voter mobilization efforts to elect progressive candidates across Florida, nationwide

FLORIDA — Color Of Change PAC, the political action committee of the nation’s largest online racial justice group, endorsed Allison Miller for State Attorney of Florida. 

“Black communities in Florida deserve a State Attorney who will be a tireless advocate in the fight for a fair and equitable justice system, and that is why Color Of Change PAC is proud to endorse Allison Miller,” said Color Of Change PAC Spokesperson Rashad Robinson. “As a public defender, champion for victims’ rights and survivor of violent crime, Miller has the experience needed to bring justice, efficiency, and safety to Florida’s legal system. With Pinellas/Pasco County sending more people to prison than any other circuit in Florida, Miller’s commitments to expanding diversion programs and reforming cash bail are important changes that will make Florida safer for Black people.”

Since 2016, Color Of Change PAC has mobilized hundreds of thousands of Black voters across the country, endorsing candidates who offer plans to help move Black people forward. In addition to reforming cash bail and expanding diversion programs, Miller’s platform also includes establishing a conviction integrity and civil rights unit, ending the criminalization of cannabis and modernizing the State Attorney’s office. 

Color Of Change PAC plans to support Miller by building enthusiasm and mobilizing voters who are often left out. One of the first-ever political organizing groups to figure out how to reach and engage Black voters and its members online, Color Of Change PAC has ramped up its digital tactics, and will host a variety of virtual events like Black Joy Socials, text and phone banking, virtual squad meetings and town halls in response to the limitations COVID-19 has put on in-person advocacy and voter engagement. The organization also plans to send direct mail, launch GOTV email and SMS broadcasts, and deploy digital ads to reach and mobilize voters ahead of the midterm elections.
